Finding it hard to find someplace to live in Damascus. Fuck everyone in my class who deemed it necessary to find a place together about a month ago. I'm just going to book into some random overpriced hostel so I at least have somewhere to go when I arrive. This way I can escape reality and pretend I'm just going off on some random backpacking adventure, rather than the scary and daunting idea of my new semi-permanent life in the Middle East.
